Paver Sealer Stripping & Re-Seal in Tampa Bay

If you need paver sealer stripping in Tampa Bay because your pavers turned white, cloudy, or hazy after sealing (or the old sealer is peeling and flaking), the fix is not another coat on top. The old, failed sealer has to come off first. We strip failed sealer back to bare pavers and re-seal them properly, so you finally get the finish you paid for.

Why It Matters

What happens without it.

A white, hazy, or peeling finish almost always traces to trapped moisture: a solvent-based or film-forming sealer that was over-applied or sealed over damp pavers, or pavers sealed before rain or before they were ready, locking moisture and salts under the coating. You cannot clean or seal your way out of that from the top. The trapped layer has to be removed and the surface reset.

Is This Right for You?

This service is right for you if:

  • Your pavers turned white or cloudy after sealing
  • The sealer is peeling, flaking, or blotchy
  • A previous company added another coat and made it worse
  • Water no longer absorbs evenly into the surface
  • You want it fixed properly, not covered up
What's Included: Our Process

We apply a chemical stripper to break down and lift the old, failed sealer, then pressure wash and work the surface to remove the loosened sealer and clear the joints.

We re-sand and re-seal with a two-part water-based sealer, the right way, in the morning so it cures before any rain.

Honesty First

This is more involved than a standard seal, so it is priced accordingly. It is also one of the most satisfying fixes we do, because it takes a deck or driveway that looks ruined and brings it back.

If the white look is efflorescence (mineral salts) trapped under the sealer rather than the sealer itself failing, stripping is still step one, then the salts are cleaned before resealing; we identify which it is when we assess it. Backed by our 3-year warranty.

Questions

Common questions about this service.

Usually trapped moisture: a solvent-based or low-quality sealer, over-application, sealing before rain, or sealing before the pavers were ready. The fix is to strip and re-seal correctly.

No. Coating over failed sealer traps the problem and usually makes it worse.

It is far less likely with the right product and timing. We use water-based sealers and seal in the morning ahead of the rain, the prep and timing that prevent the trapped-moisture haze.
